CYCLONIC SYSTEM (How it works)
Vacu-Maid® systems use cyclonic separation. This differs from “filtered” central vacuums in the way fine particles are removed.
- A cyclonic system completely removes particles by venting them outside. But a filtered system uses a bag to catch these particles.
- In the canister, the air swirls so the heavier debris falls to the bottom of the can.
- The fine particles are vented outside.
- Prevents dust from getting into the motor.
- No traditional filters to clog or clean.
The Ametek motors are specifically designed to withstand very fine dust without affecting the life or function of the system.
- Rest assured that these systems give a long working life.

Path of cyclonic filtration in the Dirt Canister.
Green. Currently Vacuumed Debris.
The debris enters the canister where it swirls cyclonically. This allows the debris to fall to the bottom.
Pink. Cyclonically Filtered Working Air.
Once the dirt is deposited in the bottom of the canister, the cyclonically filtered working air then passed through to the motor unit where it is vented to the outside.
Red. Previously Vacuumed Debris.
This dirt will continue to swirl around while the system is on. The dirt is trapped in this canister until you are ready to empty it.
